Saturated in soul and marinated in the love of music comes The Quickening out of New Orleans, LA. With the inception of the band beginning in 2012, guitarist and song writer Blake Quick has assembled a panel of musicians that have enhanced the meaning of “feel good music”. The band has a chemistry that boils with excitement and can incorporate a party full of people into one cohesive partnership. The funky rhythm section, coupled by Al Small on bass and Scott Graves on drums, seem to have a marriage to the groove that Quick lays down. The band’s organist, Jeaux Bouche’, is a jack of all trades, and melds the band’s sound in every corner of their songs. James Beaumont on saxophone takes their jams to new levels in every direction with his eager attack and passion for their music. The Ashlar-Dellucky Summit is a New Orleans band exploring the joyful depths of funk and fusion. Run by Brandon Dellucky (guitar) and Joe Ashlar (organ/keys), they showcase some of the city’s greatest musicians and pull repertoire from their collective original compositions, the East Coast electric sounds of Miles Davis’s alumni, and of course beloved classic New Orleans funk composers. Keaton Schiller is a New Orleans-based singer and songwriter. With her warm yet gritty melodies and strikingly intimate lyrics, Schiller’s songs live in a world of contradiction. They carry conflicting emotions, multiple perspectives, and confront both dreams and reality. Schiller’s atmospheric music and candid voice create an indie rock sound that is both fresh and familiar. “The New Cahoots” is an acoustic/electric group based out of Pensacola, Florida. The band, formed in 2020, has written a wide variety of original music from a blend of bluegrass, folk and americana. They have had the pleasure of supporting acts such as Railroad Earth, Town Mountain, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country & Dumpstaphunk. They have also played multiple sets at Suwannee Roots Revival at Spirit of Suwannee Music Park. Performances include a diverse catalog of originals and covers ranging from traditional bluegrass, folk, jam bands & rock and roll. Ticket price $10

7-piece funk, blues, and soul collective Pocket Chocolate—Tucker France [guitar, vocals], Gabe France [bass, vocals], Connor Zaeringer [drums], Dalton Stieffel [keys, percussion], Gui Kirsch [tenor sax], Sal Gaither [trumpet], and Garret Hickman [alto sax]—is a band of born and raised New Orleans musicians. Since forming in 2019, the group has played all throughout the Gulfcoast as well as extensively in Louisiana. In September of 2023, the group released their debut EP “Live From New Orleans” (recorded at multiple venues across New Orleans) and is currently recording their debut LP with Jake Eckert of the New Orleans Suspects. With a combination of original songwriting and samples from musical influences across genres, Pocket Chocolate aims to captivate audiences with their scrumptious modern take on the vibrant styles of music that founded New Orleans’ musical culture.
