The Soul Rebels
Thursday July 31st
The Soul Rebels started with an idea – to expand upon the pop music they loved on the radio and the New Orleans brass tradition they grew up on. The band has built a career around an eclectic live show that harnesses the power of horns and drums in a deep pocket funk party-like atmosphere. Pocket Science
Friday August 1st
Pocket Science is a New Orleans-based band making groove-first music for grown folks who still feel things deeply. Comprised of bassist Ted Gould III (Brother Theodore), drummer Jermal Watson, keyboardist Jentleman Sharp, and guitarist TJ Nathan, the group blends funk, soul, gospel, jazz, and hip-hop into a sound that’s both grounded and forward-looking. The chemistry is real, the pocket is deep, and the mission is simple: play music that moves—with precision, purpose, and plenty of feel. Each member brings heavyweight experience to the table: tours with legends, solo work, church chops, street cred, and years in the shed. But Pocket Science isn’t about showing off—it’s about locking in, telling the truth, and letting the groove do the heavy lifting. Call it funk. Call it fusion. Call it modern soul. Just don’t call it background music. Pocket Science is music built to hit live and last long after the last note fades. For fans of: The Meters, D’Angelo, Robert Glasper, Snarky Puppy, Prince, Meshell Ndegeocello, and anyone who knows the downbeat is sacred. Ticket price $10

Ted Hefko and The Thousandaires
Friday August 8th
Ted Hefko and The Thousandaires stir up an intoxicating brew of the profound and the profane, of virtue and vice and most importantly the volatile in-between. Ted’s songs explore hope and hustlers, saints and strays, drifters and the down-and-out. The Thousandaires -- with Hefko on vocals, guitar and tenor sax -- bring these stories to life with the spontaneity of jazz, the rough-hewn, bare-bones tone of backwoods folk songs and the raucous vibrancy of classic Louisiana Rhythm and Blues. Their 2018 album, Gas Station Guru, has gotten great press and radio airplay all over the world, and Down Below, was picked by a poll of Offbeat Magazine writers as one of the 50 best albums of 2021. Ted Hefko and The Thousandaires had the honor of performing at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in 2022, after a two-year pause in action, and now they’re back performing far and wide from New Orleans favorite dive bars, to venues an festivals across the country.
